O Holy Night

追古溯今，這首感動心弦的作品

源出於法國的Placide Clappeau，
他是一位年老的酒場莊主，

他於1847年為讚美救主降世而寫上這首詩詞，
後來詩詞的內容感動了

巴黎一位名Adolphe Adam 的作曲家， 

他以和諧的旋律，譜上如此天籟般的樂韻。

不久，聖詩被移居美國的法國移民傳至北美洲，
廣泛於聖誕節期間頌唱於各大大小小的聖殿之中。
後來再經由波士頓一個牧師John Dwight 翻譯成英文，
讓更多國藉的人都被詩歌所感動，
聖哉！聖哉！
最後，這不朽的名曲終於傳遍世界各方。

O Holy night,  the stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth.

Till He appeared and the Spirit felt its worth.
